Combi Screen 9 + Leuko PLUS urine sticks are the rapid test for a first diagnosis of the diseases of the urogenital tract (infections), diabetes, hepatopathies (liver diseases), hemolytic diseases (blood diseases) and metabolic disorders.

Combi Screen 10 PLUS urine sticks are useful for the rapid detection of. Leukocytes, Nitrites, pH, Ascorbic acid, Bilirubin, Blood glucose, Ketone, Protein, Urobilinogen and urine specific gravity.

CYSTITIS
For a self-assessment of cystitis observe mainly the following parameters:
- Nitrites + indicate presence of bacteria in bladder
- Leukocytes - indicate presence of bladder inflammation
IF. Leukocytes+ and Nitrites+ = bacterial cystitis
- Acute Cystitis Pack (for isolated episodes)
- Pack Chronic Cystitis and Reconstruction (for relapsing cystitis)
IF. Leukocytes+ and Nitrites- = abacterial cystitis
IF. Leukocytes- and Nitrites+ = asymptomatic bacteriuria
IF. Leukocytes- and Nitrites- = cystitis should be ruled out, and attention might be directed to
evaluation of the possible presence of vaginal infection, vulvodynia, pelvic floor hypertone, or pelvic neuropathy.
Indications for use of Combi Screen 10 PLUS
- It is recommended to test with the first morning urine;
- If it cannot be used immediately, store the urine sample at 2-4° C; at the time of testing, the sample should be brought to room temperature (15-25° C);
- The urine specimen collection container must be clean and free of disinfectants or detergent residue;
- Do not touch the reaction zones of the sticks;
- Take only the necessary number of test strips and quickly close firmly the container of the sticks with the original cap.
- Dip the test stick into the urine sample for about 2 seconds. Make sure all reaction areas are wet and remove excess urine (either on the rim of the container or with paper towels);
- Keep the urine stick horizontal during the reaction period to avoid interference between reaction zones;
- Compare the colors with the color scale shown on the package, only after 60 seconds (leukocytes after 60-120 sec). Any scolorations occurring only at the edge of the reaction fields or after the 3rd minute after stick immersion are irrelevant;
- For proper visual evaluation, observe the results in a well-lit room.
Storage Methods.
Avoid exposing the strips to sunlight and moisture. Keep in a place that is cool and dry place.
If stored properly, urine sticks are valid and reactive until the expiration date on the package.
Warnings
- Combi Screen 10 PLUS urine sticks do not allow, as the only evaluation based only on the results of the test strips, to reach a diagnostic conclusion , but they provide a concrete indication that should be combined with a medical evaluation.
- Taking medication may alter the results of Combi Screen 10 PLUS urine sticks . If in doubt, it is recommended to repeat the test after discontinuing the medication. Discontinuation of the medication should be decided only by the treating physician.
