D-Mannose is a simple sugar with a very low impact on blood glucose levels that can attract the bacteria responsible for cystitis. The bacteria are then eliminated through the urinary flow.
How to take Dimann Puro Baby
The dosage of Dimann Puro Baby varies according to the child’s weight.
If the child weighs more than 25 kg, we recommend doubling the doses indicated below.
DIMANN PURO BABY DOSAGE FOR ACUTE BACTERIAL CYSTITIS
During the acute phase of bacterial cystitis, we recommend giving Dimann Puro Baby for 2 weeks as follows:
- 6 capsules, one every 3 hours, for the first 3 days;
- 1 capsule every 4 hours, for a total of 5 capsules per day, for the following 2 days;
- 4 capsules, one every 5 hours, on the sixth and seventh days;
- 3 capsules per day (one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening) during the second week.
DIMANN PURO BABY DOSAGE FOR BACTERIAL CYSTITIS DURING THE MAINTENANCE PHASE
During the maintenance phase, which follows treatment of the acute phase of bacterial cystitis, we recommend continuing to give Dimann Puro Baby to help eliminate any bacteria that may remain in the bladder.
The recommended maintenance phase lasts 4 weeks. Give Dimann Puro Baby as follows:
- 3 capsules per day (one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening) for 4 weeks.
DIMANN PURO BABY DOSAGE TO HELP PREVENT BACTERIAL CYSTITIS
To help prevent bacterial cystitis in children, give Dimann Puro Baby as follows:
- 2 capsules per day (one in the morning and one in the evening) for 8 weeks.
How to take D-Mannose for cystitis in children
Have the child urinate
before each dose.
If the child is unable to swallow the capsule, pour its contents into 150 ml of a drink (non-carbonated and preferably lukewarm).
1 hour after taking it, have the child drink plenty of water to allow the D-Mannose and the bacteria attached to it to be flushed out.
The last dose of the day should be taken with a small amount of liquid.
If the child wakes up during the night to urinate, remember to give one capsule of Dimann Puro Baby (Please note: only during the acute phase).
Contraindications for cystitis in children
Dimann Puro Baby has no particular contraindications. Use under the careful supervision of a pediatrician is recommended.
